31 August 2010 Founder member D.B. Khade passes away

Digamber B. Khade, retired news editor of All India Radio (AIR) and one of the founder members of the Press Club of Mumbai, passed away last night (Monday August 30, 2010) in Mumbai.Sunil Shivdasani, secretary of the Press Club offered condolences to D. B. Khade’s bereaved family on behalf of the Press Club. In his message, he hoped that they have the strength to bear this huge loss.


24 August 2010 Press Club condemns attack on Journalist

The Press Club, Mumbai in strongest words condemns the attack on journalist Amit Joshi on Tuesday August 24, 2010. Amit Joshi, a reporter with Zee 24 Taas was covering an incident of fire when he was attacked by local goons. Amit was badly beaten up with sticks and rods while he was covering the incident. Amit is now hospitalised at the KEM Hospital at Parel.
